Artistic Corporation Identidad

MORE ABOUT
A dream come true: a dance school born in Barranquilla as the Artistic Corporation IDENTIDAD in 2004, but with legal status since 2009. Since then, it has been promoting Colombian folklore and diverse dance forms, incorporating both technical and traditional elements.
Each parade, troupe, and costume transforms the streets of Barranquilla into a stage of art and emotion that captivates those who experience it.

They have represented Colombia abroad:
* Folkloric performances of the Barranquilla Carnival in Seoul, Busan, and Jeonju, South Korean cities (2009).
* Performed aboard the Ocean Dreams cruise ship (2010) touring the Caribbean islands.
* Participated in the Colombian Independence Day celebration in Trinidad and Tobago (2010).
* Solidarity Parade for Colombia (2010).
* Colombian Independence Day celebration in Uruguay (2017).
* In 2018, they were invited to participate in the Hispanic Day Parade in New York City.

Nationally, they have participated in cultural events and dance festivals such as:
* The Feria de las Colonias in Bogotá (2010).
* Brotherhood Festival (2011).
* Launch of the Barranquilla Carnival in Medellín Bogotá and Cali (2017) as part of the "Colombia de Carnaval" event.
* Parade on January 20th in Sincelejo, Sucre (2020).

In the year (2017) it received the Recognition of the District Council of Barranquilla as "Intangible Cultural Heritage of the District the annual festive programming of the citizen initiative of Safeguarding the organizations that carry the Tradition of the Carnival of Barranquilla."

The Artistic Corporation Identidad has written a history of passion, discipline and love for our roots, proudly achieving 27 Golden Congos in the Barranquilla Carnival between 2005 and 2026.

Each award represents the effort of artists, dancers, and dreamers who have brought to the stage the essence, color, and spirit of Colombian folklore, through their two great performances: the Comparsa de Tradición Popular Identidad and the Danza de los Pájaros Identidad, turning each presentation into a living tribute to our culture, tradition, and carnival legacy.
